Eilean practices in Employment Law and Litigation. Eilean meets with and advises employers and employees on a daily basis who require effective and reliable employment law and litigation advice. Eilean regularly guide clients through Workplace Relation Commission / Labour Court and open court processes.
Eilean is a qualified solicitor in Ireland, having trained and worked in the litigation team of a well known Cork law firm for a number of years post qualification.
Eimear practices in the areas of Employment Law and Data Protection. Eimear advises employees and employers on all aspects of the employment relationship including both contentious and non contentious issues. Eimear also advises in the area of data protection and privacy and is well placed to advise organisations on their GDPR readiness and compliance.
Eimear is a qualified solicitor in Ireland. She holds a LLB from Trinity College, Dublin and a Certificate in Employment Law Advocacy and Skills from the Law Society of Ireland.
Niamh advises clients on a wide range of employment law matters, both contentious and non contentious. Niamh has experience in areas such as the drafting of contracts, policies and procedures, internal investigations, disciplinary and appeal processes and redundancies, as well data protection and privacy.
Niamh is a qualified solicitor in Ireland and completed her traineeship with Crowley Solicitors in December 2016.
Niamh is a graduate of University College Cork having completed a BCL and an LLM. Niamh also holds a Diploma in Employment Law from the Law Society of Ireland.
Consultant Tax Advisor
Kieran Kennelly is the firm’s taxation consultant and advises on a wide range of employment taxation issues.
Kieran has a B.C.L. (1994) and a Higher Diploma in Accounting Information Systems (1996) from U.C.C. He is also an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute (2001) and holds a B.L. from Kings Inns (2005).
He worked in the taxation department of a “Big 4” accountancy firm for 7 years where he dealt with tax compliance and tax planning issues for noteworthy multinational, national and local companies as well as high net worth individuals. Kieran was the head of the taxation department of a local medium sized accounting firm for 5 years before establishing Clarus Taxation in 2011.
Being dually qualified as a barrister and tax consultant, Kieran is ideally placed to advise clients in relation to corporate taxation issues that arise in the course of managing employees on a day to day basis.
Kieran has recently advised clients in relation to the following matters:
- tax compliant structuring of transfers of undertakings
- the sale and purchase of businesses where taxation issues in respect of employees arise
- partnership taxation matters
- redundancy programmes and
- termination of employment agreements.
