  • Employment Law Solicitor

We are currently seeking a Solicitor with experience in the area of employment law and litigation.

Requirements:

  • At least 2+ years post qualification experience including experience in employment law and litigation;
  • Experience in the areas of contentious and non-contentious employment matters;
  • Excellent technical and drafting skills;
  • Some experience in the area of data protection and technology law is an advantage;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • The successful candidates will need the ability to integrate into a fast moving team and work on their own initiative.

  • Data Protection Solicitor

We are currently seeking to recruit a solicitor with experience in the area of data protection and privacy.

Requirements

  • At least 2+ years post qualification experience including experience in data protection and privacy;
  • Experience in advising on the GDPR, Data Mapping, Privacy Impact Assessments and Accountability Reports;
  • Experience in drafting data protection policies and procedures and advising on data breaches, employment-related data protection issues and handling data access requests;
  • Excellent technical and drafting skills;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • The successful candidates will need the ability to integrate into a fast moving team and work on their own initiative.

Trainees

Our Trainee Development Programme gives our trainees the opportunity and resources to become solicitors of the highest calibre.

We encourage our trainees to develop all aspects of their skills and experience through education, public speaking, learning from colleagues and through team work within the practice. We provide support, guidance and mentorship and take an active role and interest in each trainee’s progression.

From time to time our trainees have the opportunity to do secondments in-house with clients (as the need arises) and with other legal practices in the area.

Current Vacancies

We are looking for ambitious and driven individuals who are keen to play an important role in our firm. Combined with strong academic results, we are seeking people who are analytical, confident, self-aware, results orientated and want to develop leadership skills early in their career.

The successful candidate for the first role will have passed all FE1 exams and will be available to join the practice in May 2018 with a view to entering PPC1 in September 2018.

The practice also has a vacancy for a Trainee Solicitor who is currently undertaking FE1 exams and who will be available to join the practice in May 2018 with a view to entering PPC1 in September 2019.

The successful candidates will receive training in a wide variety of legal areas working with both solicitors and clients to complement their training with the Law Society of Ireland.

Candidates must possess the following qualities and skills:

  • Solid academic credentials;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A high level of self-motivation and commitment
  • Flexibility, resilience and intellectual curiosity;
  • Accustomed to working to high standards with close attention to detail;
  • The ability to learn quickly;

  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent PC skills (use of Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Some relevant work experience (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs)

Interns

Our Internship Programme is designed to give lawyers of the future an introduction to life in a boutique legal practice. The programme also helps us to identify talent and develop relationships with those who may join us in the future.

We regularly partner with University College Cork in relation to the provision of internships to students and graduates and we also accept speculative applications.
